Can you build up an immunity to hiv in a hiv positive person after prolonged ual contact with that person?

I know it probably sounds like a crazy question but my Dr. told me that if you didn't contact hiv from a hiv positive person in the initial stage that you probablly never would because you build up an immunity to it in that particular person after a certain period of ual contact with him.
