Sure my married friend is Gay, he is so unhappy he even had an affair. How can I help him?

I need to let him know that people are cool if they are your friends. friendship is unconditional, if not they aint worth bothering with anyway... Thought this was a 'good starting point' - ie maybe show him the answers Thanks.
